West of Iran The western region of Iran includes three provinces of Kurdistan, Kermanshah and Ilam along with Hamedan and Lorestan, which also includes the provinces of West Azerbaijan and Khuzestan and includes its major cities: Sanandaj, Kermanshah, Ilam, Hamadan and Khorramabad, plus Urmia and Ahvaz is. In the past, there was a major part of the West from Jabal area (Iraqi Ajam). In 1316, the district was mainly one of the six provinces of the West as one of the provinces of the west, and then as the fifth province of the ten provinces of Iran.
Hamedan City
Hamedan, is one of the metropolises of Iran in the western and mountainous regions of Iran and the center of Hamedan province. The city is located on the slopes of Mount Alvand, at a height of 1, 741 meters above sea level, and it is considered as the cold city of Iran. Hamadan is one of the oldest cities in Iran and one of the oldest cities in the world. In 2006, the Islamic Consultative Assembly declared “the capital of Iranian history and civilization” in Hamedan. Hamedan was the first capital of the first Iranian monarchy, the Medes. However, the earliest works found from Hegmataneh’s ancient enclosure, as well as inscriptions of the Ganjmanet, are related to the Achaemenid era. It was also one of the capitals of the country during the Achaemenid, Parthian, Sassanian, Al Boyeh and Seljuk periods. Nowadays, Hamedan province due to its historical and spectacular centers is known as the 5th cultural and tourist city of the country. It is scientifically also known as the universities of Bu-Ali Sina, Hamedan University of Technology, Hamedan Islamic Azad University, Payam-e-Noor University of Hamadan and other centers. The title is recognized as one of the country’s academic hubs. The mausoleum of Bou-Ali Sinai is a symbol of the city of Hamedan and also one of the symbols of Iran’s history in the world culture and knowledge and science.
City Basht In Kohgilooye & Boyern Ahmad Province
The city Basht is located in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad Province. The city’s population is 20,699.
Basset is one of the historical and ancient cities of Iran, which dates back to the Achaemenid period. The historic fortress of Lady Goshneb of the princes of one of the Achaemenid kings, described in Shahnameh, is located on a low mountain called two phones overlooking the city. In Nasser Khosravi’s travelogue, this city is called Bashat or Behesht. Of course, there were some doubts about who the primary residents in this city. In the recent period, the Basht has been the first administrative center in the area. Before the formation of the province, the city of Golveyeh and Boyer Ahmad, Basht had a central administrative and metropolic background. The provincial capital of the province, Gachsaran and Dehdasht, was established in 1304 before the conclusion of the provincial capital city. Unlike other parts of the province, this city has a temperate climate, agriculture, horticulture and livestock. Rice is also abundantly grown in the plains.

Lorestan Province
Lorestan province is one of the southwestern provinces of Iran. The province has 28.294 square kilometers and has a population of more than 1.760 thousand. The province is the 13th province of the country and considered one of the populous provinces and the largest too. Khorramabad is the capital of the province. Lorestan is a mountainous country, and other than a few plains, it is surrounded by Zagros Mountains. Oshtoranku with a height of 4150 meters is the highest point of the province located between Doroud, Azna and Oligudarz, and its lowest point is in the southern province of the province and is about 500 meters above sea level. According to archaeological findings, this area is one of the earliest and old settlements of mankind and also Lorestan bronze have a great reputation for archeology. Lorestan is the only province of Iran which has been one of the four main sections of the National Museum of Iran due to its remarkable historical significance. These four major parts are prehistoric, historical, and Lorestan, Islamic era, Mehr, and Coin. Lorestan province is the third most abundant place in the country and holds 12 percent of the country’s water. Despite the non-localization of damages, Many have suffered during the Iran-Iraq war.
Blood Cave
Crystal Cave is the the first “real cave” of the world and the fist natural effect of Lorestan province. This work was recorded in the year 82 as a national natural work. Blind fish is one of the rare and endemic species of Iran, which is unique in the world, living in this cave, the first Danish geologist have traveled to Iran in 1937 and Discovered the unique fish and did some research on this species. This species exists only in Lorestan province, and in this regard it is one of the valuable reserves of Iran.
