Tehran province

The capital Tehran is an ancient/modern city, bustling with marketplaces and cultural highlights, Tehran Province is one of the 31 provinces of Iran. It covers an area of 18,909 square kilometers (7,301 sq. mi) and is located to the north of the central plateau of Iran.  this province includes 13 townships, 43 municipalities, and 1358 villages and it borders Māzandarān Province in the north, Qom Province in the south, Semnān Province in the east, and Alborz Province in the west. Because of being  Tehran the main Iran’s administrative city, economic, and cultural center as well as the major industrial and transportation center of the region The province of Tehran has over 12 million inhabitants and is Iran’s most densely populated region. Approximately 86.5 percent reside in urban areas and 13.5 percent in rural areas of the province .

This metropolis city and the   Province of Iran has in place several archeological sites indicating settlements dating back several thousand years. for example Ray oldest existing city in the province and one of the most prominent cities of the Tehran dates back to  300 years ago  and has been considered as the only ancient province of Tehran with a lot of historical monuments and places of interest.  However, Tehran is a cosmopolitan city, with great museums, parks, restaurants, Theaters and , over 1,500 historical sites of cultural significance of Iran . The climate has marked seasonal contrasts , with short springs and autumns separating cold winters and hot , dry summers. Mehrabad Airport to the west of city, Railway: European link through Tabriz and Istanbul , internal lines to Mashhad , Yazd and Khoramshahr. Regular coach services in all directions. The National Jewelry Treasury or other history/cultural museums in Tehran  is just one must-visit destination in a country that’s overflowing with them.
